One visit to Veg and you'll be hooked! You don't have to be
a vegetarian to appreciate delicious wild-caught seafood from local and global sustainable sources,
local and organic produce, delicious low-salt and low fat choices, and a menu that offers simply
something for everyone!

A friendly, family-owned and operated eatery that serves lunch,
dinner, beer, wine, and take-out. As their website states, they are "locateddowntown without the
downtown prices"! 2164 Gulf Gate Drive, Sarasota, FL 34231
My wife and I were simply blown
away with the many signature dishes like VegBurger (made in house) and Portobello
Mushroom Volcano. We were so impressed that we continue to go back each week to
sample new dishes presented weekly by Chef Marty from around the world.
From July 18th through August 31st, Chef Marty has
and is creating dishes in what they call "Around the World Chef's Tour"
highlighting different dishes each week. We've enjoyed Moussaka from Greece and
last week we enjoyed the Seafood Paella from Spain (Picture
above).
This week will be "Moroccan" and I can hardly
wait! Their dishes are infused with spices that bring out the utmost flavor and are
served with the highest of quality. They also offer a kid friendly menu,
vegan-friendly menu with vegan desserts, gluten-free sandwiches, soups, desserts
and more. And let's not forget the beer and wine (which also includes organic and
gluten-free). No wonder why this restaurant has become a favorite with the locals!
