The Cortez fishing village is concerned about it's future due to the ongoing BP oil disaster. Orders for their fresh grouper and shrimp have plummeted as customers are concerned about the oil and dispersants in the Gulf. While they're still fishing in clean open waters, people are wary. "There's nothing wrong with the fish. The fish are clean, we're harvesting them from areas that haven't been affected and it's just public perception of oil being in the Gulf," said Glen Brooks, the President of the Gulf Fisherman's Association. | ||||
